SCADA in Paradise – AWWA IMTEC 2001

Timberline Engineering designed a SCADA system for the County of Kauai Department of Water. Designing a system to meet the unique challenges of a tropical paradise showed that while all SCADA systems have similar characteristics, each requires careful attention to develop practical solutions for its individual needs.

Dan Meigs of Timberline Engineering discussed this issue in a presentation called "SCADA in Paradise" at the American Water Works Association (AWWA) 2001 Information Management & Technology Conference in Atlanta on April 9, 2001. 

Technology in Paradise – AWWA CA/NV Section 2002

Because “SCADA in Paradise” was so well received at IMTEC 2001, David Dozier of Timberline Engineering presented “SCADA in Paradise – A Technology Perspective” at the Spring 2002 conference of the California-Nevada Section of AWWA. This presentation discussed the Kauai Department of Water SCADA project with a focus on “Technology, the Future of Water.” The presentation exhibited the technology involved in the design, construction, and operation of the Kauai SCADA system.
