Web Based Projects

Timberline has recognized that substantial project savings and improved project quality are possible by improving communications between the client and engineer during the design phase of a project and the client, contractor, and engineer during the construction phase of a project. To realize these benefits, Timberline has developed and is hosting a web based project site for each of its key projects. Timberline has found that this central repository for project communications ensures that all members of the team have access to the most current project information.

The following information is typically available for the design phase of a project:

  • Design Criteria.
  • Action Items.
  • Correspondence.
  • Meeting Notes.
  • Review Comments.
  • Design Database.
  • Schedule.
  • Conformed Drawings.
  • Conformed Specifications.
  • Photographs.
  • Resource Library.

During the construction phase of a project, Timberline can easily provide the following information:

  • Action Items.
  • Correspondence.
  • Meeting Notes.
  • Schedule.
  • Conformed Drawings.
  • Conformed Specifications.
  • Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Supplemental Instructions (Addenda and Field Orders).
  • Requests for Proposal.
  • Change Orders.
  • Pay Request.
  • Daily Reports.
  • Test Reports.
  • Submittals (Log and Review Comments).

  • Resource Library.

In addition to the aforementioned project team information, general public information can also be provided on the web site. Information that might be presented in this area includes:

  • Project Description.
  • Public Impact.
  • Public Involvement.
  • Photosimulations.
  • Construction Photos.
  • Construction Camera.
  • Project Team.
  • Related Links.

Additional information can be added if desired. As Timberline hosts its own web site, the information provided on the project web sites can be easily tailored to the specific needs of the client and project. For security purposes, access to the project areas of the Timberline web site is limited to authorized personnel via a user name and password.
